Exmoor Pony, Exmoor

The oldest of the British native ponies, Exmoor Ponies are thought to be descended from the ponies that migrated from North America across the prehistoric land bridge. Their population was just 50 after World War II, but is now recovering thanks to the efforts of the local people.
