Gritstone Outcrop on Bamford Edge, Peak District

The gritstone edges of the Peak District are famous for their rock climbing routes and this image shows part of the reason why - the rough surface provides excellent grip whilst the short nature of many of the climbs provides opportunities for the brave to enjoy some soloing.
