I love being up high on the mountains of the Lake District in winter. Such a different feel from summer, and a time when you can really appreciate nature in the raw. This rock on top of Bowfell was encrusted with rime ice, built up after a period of freezing weather. Lunch was taken just a few yards away, although the temperature did mean my stay was fairly brief!
